Vincent Massey Park

A Park in Ontario Canada

The pavilions, refreshment stand and bus shelter at Vincent Massey Park in Ottawa, Ontario are highly acclaimed mid-century modernist masterworks, receiving the prestigious Massey Award for Architecture in 1958 and the Ottawa Architectural Conservation Award in 2012 following a meticulous restoration.

The old refreshment pavilion was brought back to its original state while updating to contemporary standards with a focus on historic preservation, enhanced functionality, ease and low-cost of maintenance, life-cycle and environmental sustainability. Hope’s single-hung steel replacement windows were a natural choice for the rehabilitation.
