Single & Double Hung Windows
The following Hope’s product lines are appropriate for single hung steel windows. A single hung window (also known as single-sash window) is a type of window with two sashes stacked within the frame — typically a lower, operable sash and an upper fixed sash. A single hung window may be configured with either the upper or lower sash as operable. The operable sash slides up and down within a track in the jamb (side of the frame) overlapping the fixed sash while the fixed sash remains stationary. A double hung window is like a single hung window, except both sashes are operable and slide up and down within the frame, overlapping each other.
