Jamestown175™ Series fixed and vented heavy custom steel windows and doors were used for their quality, durability, and style. The project required a product that provided a contemporary aesthetic while matching the historic context of the area.
The core challenge for the project team was introducing a large modern residential building into the fabric of historic Back Bay on one of the last available parcels of land. Hope’s was the perfect solution for the architects at Hacin + Associates – being the only product that fulfilled the individual performance needs of Four51 while meeting the rigorous design standards of the community.
“We have relied on Hope’s products for years, and whether inside or outside, Hope’s has contributed to realizing our design objectives for many important projects,” says David Hacin, President of Hacin + Associates. “The Hope’s aesthetic has helped define the look of some of our most noteworthy projects.”
Hope’s narrow sightlines and compatibility with the Back Bay neighborhood made them ideal for this project.
“The look and feel of Hope’s windows and doors are a major highlight of this condominium project and have proved to be a key selling point for buyers,” added Hacin.
The units in Four51 Marlborough receive a tremendous amount of natural light due to the scale and minimal framing of Hope’s windows and doors. The architectural language representative of Back Bay is present too – uniquely blending modern amenities while nodding to the past with 19th-century design choices.
“We’ve used Hope’s products in the past and presently, and we will continue to use them on future projects,” said Hacin. “They have matched up great with a variety of project styles – hitting the mark for quality, performance, and longevity.”
