Steel Windows for Environmental & Historic Preservation

The Church of the Redeemer, Parish House – Morristown, NJ

The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Morristown, New Jersey entered the GreenFaith Certification Program and implemented a rigorous set of environmental stewardship measures aimed at improving the church’s use of and relationship to food, water, energy, transportation, waste, and maintenance.

Central to this GreenFaith initiative, the church undertook a major green renovation effort to enhance its buildings and grounds in ways that conserve energy and are environmentally friendly.

The church’s historic preservation efforts for the 1917 stone building included installing new energy efficient and eco-friendly Hope’s University Series™ steel windows.

Hope’s solid, hot-rolled steel windows preserve the look of vintage putty-glazed steel windows and doors with historically accurate sightlines. The advantage of historic replacement steel windows lies in upgrading performance and efficiency to modern standards by utilizing advanced protective coatings, improved weatherproofing, and the ability to hold insulated and low-E glass.

Hope’s steel windows are environmentally responsible and sustainable. Our hot-rolled steel window profiles are made with 100% recycled steel and are finished with lead-free, low VOC coatings with zero hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). They offer improved air/water performance and outlast other window and door products for an unparalleled life cycle.
